The Only Banana Cream Pie Recipe You’ll Ever Need for Creamy Perfection
The only banana cream pie recipe you'll ever need
I’ll share my son’s favorite dessert recipe of all time. This is a decadent banana cream pie recipe with toasted coconut pie crust. This one isn’t the same old banana pie recipe you’ve seen hundreds of times. This one will leave guests wanting more, causing their mouths to water as they remember it.
Usually, I post healthy recipes, but occasionally I’ll write a couple that aren’t, and this falls into that category. But for those that aren’t, they need to be TRULY special. After all, when living a healthy lifestyle, on a rare occasion you need to break the rules (unless health concerns dictate that you can’t) and indulge in something worthy of that rare break.
Decadent and Rich Banana Cream Pie Recipe
Ingredients
2 cups shredded coconut
1 cube of butter
1 3/4 oz package of Jello brand vanilla or banana instant pudding
1 3/4 c. milk
1/2 c. heavy cream
1 1/2 c. mini marshmallows
2 bananas
To make the crust, put the coconut and butter in a skillet and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the coconut is a tan, toasty color.
Remove from heat and put this in a 9-inch pie pan, using a fork to press it up the sides and around the bottom. Then place in the refrigerator to chill.
Directions for the banana cream pie
In a bowl, blend with a mixer the instant vanilla or banana pudding and the milk. Mix for 2 minutes, cover with wax paper, and chill.
In another bowl, pour the heavy cream and using clean beaters, mix until the cream forms stiff peaks. Gently fold the marshmallows into the whipped cream.
Slice the bananas and place them in the cooled pie crust.
Gently fold the whipped cream mix and the pudding together then spread over the bananas in the pie crust.
Chill for a few hours before serving.
I’d love to hear from you if you make this and how it turned out for you.

This sounds really delicious. My husband isn't really a coconut person, but I'm going to make this pie anyway, because he loves banana cream pie.
